Regus Office Workspace

Regus, a global network of office workspaces, offers private office rooms, coworking spaces, meeting rooms, and virtual desks. This Regus office workspace, located on the first floor of 901 Market Tower in Wilmington, Delaware, occupies a historic building that was originally Wilmington’s first “sky scraper” and formerly housed M&T Bank.
The design for this Regus space aims to highlight and restore the historic features that had been hidden or damaged over the years. This project required extensive coordination for mechanical and structural systems due to the building’s three-foot thick masonry bearing walls, historic steel details, and connections the buildings existing system.
The layout efficiently accommodates a variety of office sizes, from single desk offices to a large 14-person coworking room. Each office features a glazed wall to maximize access to natural light, addressing the common issue of inadequate lighting. The high ceilings also create an open atmosphere, typically not found in office spaces.
In addition to the diverse office spaces, the project includes a welcoming reception area, a copy and print station, a self-service kitchen, and three new restrooms. These additions transform the once neglected bank into a modern, functional workspace while preserving its charm.
